Meet the Teacher

Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm a former pre-k teacher (1 year), first grade teacher (5 years), and now current Kindergarten teacher (5 years) in Georgia. This year will be my 12th year teaching. I  graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Elementary Education, "War Eagle". I have been married to my husband, and best friend, Elliot for 10 years now. We have two children: Ansleigh and Cooper, and 2  dogs named Zoey and Daisey. 

  

When I'm not teaching or working on lesson plans I enjoy spending time playing tennis, watching sports on tv, crafting, baking, gardening, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

I believe that learning should be hands-on, full of content and rigor, creative, and meaningful. Most of all, learning should be FUN! There's nothing I love more than knowing my kids don't even realize they're learning because they're having so much fun through the process.

I am a Google Certified Educator, Vanguard Member, and Seesaw Ambassador. 

I started this blog in 2014 as a way to share ideas and keep a "virtual scrapbook" of my classroom happenings.
